FAQ:
Can I use this starter kit to recharge my existing service?
No. This starter kit is for new customers.
Can I port my existing number from another carrier?
Yes. You can port your number from another Australian carrier if it's a prepaid or a postpaid out of contract.
Can I port out to another carrier and port back in as a new customer?
Yes. You can port out to another prepaid service, then port back as a new customer.
How long do I have to stay with another carrier before I can port back?
It's recommended to use the full term to maximise the value, but you can always port away as long as the service is active.
What information do I need to provide for porting request?
You need to provide the exact same full name and date of birth registered with your current carrier. Most of failed porting requests are caused by information mismatching.
When can I start using the new SIM after a successful porting request?
Wait until the old SIM is disconnected (no service). Some carriers may ask you to enter a code via SMS to confirm your port out request. You could miss that SMS if the old SIM is taken out too early then your porting request won't be processed.
Why is it so important to use a delivery service with signature?
Signature on delivery ensures your SIM card is delivered into your hands. Some sellers offer cheap delivery options without signature by passing the risk to consumers. A delivery with tracking but without signature is not secure. It could be marked as delivered but never physically in your hands. If that happens to you it will be hard to get your money back and the seller makes you feel "it's your own choice of a cheap delivery optuion, nothing to do with them".
